How to keep your social media consistent.
Consistency builds more trust than any single great post.
A customer who visits your page sees the last nine posts at once. If they look like nine different companies, that is the impression, before reading a word.
Why consistency beats creativity
People buy from businesses that feel stable. A page where colours, fonts and quality are steady signals an organised operation. A page of random styles signals improvisation, even when the actual work is excellent.
The four things to lock down
- Colours. Your brand colours, used the same way in every graphic. Not “roughly purple”, the exact codes.
- Fonts. One for headlines, one for body text. Never more than two.
- Logo placement. Same corner, same size, every post.
- Templates. Three or four repeatable layouts: promotion, product photo, announcement, tip. Templates make consistency automatic instead of a daily design decision.
A rhythm you can sustain
Three consistent posts a week beat ten chaotic ones. Plan a simple monthly calendar: promotions you know are coming, products to feature, and recurring formats. Batch-produce graphics once a week rather than designing in a panic each morning.
When to get help
If posting keeps sliding because design takes too long, the fix is usually not more effort, it is templates and a content calendar set up once, professionally, and then filled routinely. That is a one-time investment that pays back every week.
